NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread

I was right, it got hot today.
Nice sunset tonight, lots of color in it and the wind was down. Temps were down to just under 70 a half hour after the color left the sky and so quiet the loudest sound was the trucks on 97 four miles away. Pretty much dark out now and the coyotes are singing but off in the distance, no way to get them to come this far with a call.
Taking down some old wire fence this afternoon and got slapped pretty good with a piece of old Goucho wire. Stopped to see the grandsons and the oldest one told me my arm was leaking. It had actually stopped by then but the kid is getting to be a real tough little nut. He's been riding his quad around the place here a lot and is getting tired of just having a ten acre patch to roar around in. Guess I'm going to have to take him up to the mountains for an outing.
Made some progress on the benches for the new shooting range, making the tables from lumber salvaged from a building that was put up in 1918. I remember my grandfather telling me the building was made from scrap lumber. Most of it is clear, straight grain fir with maybe one or two tight knots in a 2 X 8 14' long. Wish I could get premium lumber that good now. Can't run them thru the planer because of the old square nails that break off when you try to pull them. I'll just sand the tops best I can and leave the rest rustic.
Got done with supper a few minutes ago and now it's off to bed.
You all have a good night.
Mike
