NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread
hey gang,
Just got the Z back together with new clutch, water pump rebuild, valve clearnce check and some major cleaning. Started right up and runs good exept it sounds awful! I still hear a metal wearing noise from inside the engine. Same sound I hear on the last day of our dune trip. I'm thinking the cylinder and piston might need to be replaced. Maybe even the rod bearings are worn? I guess the only way to find out is to a full tear down of the motor which I don't really want to do. Last time I rode it the power was there and everything ran great except for the clogged radiator that was causing it to over heat. What should I do? Should I just keep running it until something happens or tear it apart?

Anyone know where I can get a axle bearing carrier for a 400 EX reasonable??? Just pulled the nephew's 400 apart and the carrier is toast. Dealer wants to much so If we have to wait we'll get a billet aftermarket one off ebay but was hoping the kids could ride today/tomorrow.
We're in Arlington. Shoot me a call if anyone has one close.
Thanks
Darryl

Do not shop at Rainier honda/yamaha at 16002 pacific ave in Spanaway... I had $10,000 in my pocket and was considering buying a new quad and my son likes quads so he's trying to sit on all the quads and the salesman yeld at me to take my son off of there quads.... I grabbed my screaming son and left. I will never step foot on there property again. I'll go back to Renton motorcycle to buy one...
Good Morning PSAR!
Good grief but it's dark out there.
Coyotes are busy this morning, kind of strange as easy as hunting is for them this time of year. They were singing just out from the house last night and are down on the flats this morning. Calves are too big for them to be messing with and the cows are not making any noise so I'm wondering what is going on. Probably never know for sure but I'm going to walk out there and see what is what when the sun comes up.
Have a great day.
Mike
