Thanks to all those that have served in our Armed Forces.

The last living veteren of the Second World War in our family passed away this year so we visited at the Veterens Home in The Dalles, Or. where our youngest son works. The ravages of war and time have not dulled the spirit of many of these old warriors. It was an experience to remember even tho we visit at other times during the year. These old men were, as usual, very glad to have some visitors and particulary glad to see our grandsons.

If you have the time a visit to your local VA hospital or extended care facility will gladden your heart.

Chilly this morning, it was 28 an hour ago and 26 now.

We started getting freezing rain and snow about 7 this morning, it was mostly melted off by noon.

Have to go down near Salem, Oregon tomorrow, hope the roads are clear in the morning.
