Unfortunately Rod there is no "scavenging" allowed at the drop station. I've seen some neat stuff getting tossed. Used to be a guy that stood outside the landfill property on the access road and he'd buy, or take if offered, any scrap metal, pop cans or other things with a little value. I think he died or moved out of the country. Maybe I ought to take that job up.
I missed that free tractor the other day, dang the luck. I could have used that loader and I've got an engine if that was the problem with it.
DM that big ol tree must be really close to your house. Might be a good idea to have it taken down. If you have a wood stove or know someone that does that Walnut makes a long lasting fire. Lots of ash like oak to pack out.

I thought those were "Whoopies" Hap. Maybe just local terminology. Long time since I heard that term, you showing your age?
Weather sure is nice over here, getting some wind usually starting around ten or so in the mornings. Tending to dry the top of the dirt a bit and driving the moisture down. Going to be out getting the garden going if this keeps up for another week or so.
May the Blue Bird of Happiness grant you a blue bird kind of day.

Good Morning PSAR!
24 and a lot of frost this morning. Looks to be a pretty day coming up. Sun is just starting to light the sky and it looks to be really clear.
Took the oldest son to Portland yesterday for a bit of oral surgery. He had to have a tooth cut out. No fun but it went really well.
Daughter and SIL are coming out this afternoon and we're starting some work in the garden. It's that time of year to get things really ready. SWMBO and I are going to The Dalles this AM to get "necessary stuff" for said garden. Once again I see five dollar an ear corn on the horizon. 8>)
Have a nice drive to PT Hap, pretty out that way.
