Speaking of carnage, Nate and I will be shopping around for a short block for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma with a 3400 engine. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start?
We thought maybe he had a broken motor mount so I had him rev the engine while I watched for any unusual engine movement to indicate a broken motor mount. The second time he revved it, it stuck a rod through the oil pan and through the side of the block!!!! I couldn't believe it! He didn't even come close to redline and he said he revs it higher than that getting on the freeway! The only thing lucky about it is that it happened in the driveway and not on the highway somewhere.
So now he is driving my truck and we will be swapping motors!
Anyone have an engine hoist and engine stand we can borrow?</end quote></div>
Sounds like you should buy him a new truck for xmas rich daddy.

MB, those shocks slid in there like butter. THANKS!!!
Now maybe I can ride my own equipment next time. Got a bit more to do, but it's a start. This ride was great, but I would rather not borrow equipment again. Too much to be responsible for...Hate the headache when something gets scuffed.
Gotta admit, the Honda 400ex did really nicely for me though. Good trail quad. Not so sure it would be enough in the dunes, but perfect for the stuff we were doing this weekend.

Let's see, he's 22 years old, married and a Sergeant in the US Army. No, I think he can take care of himself.
Besides, you must have me confused with somebody else. Some other rich daddy!
