Wait till they tell you they need to take a few $$ an hour, to help them make it. I have co workers who have lost $9 an hour. One guy has gone from 29 to 20 and lost his company cruiser.

Big Blue Bus fuel mileage is what, about 7 mpg?
I get between 7 and 8 mpg with the camper and trailer and I end up using 4 tanks of gas to Coos and back. 35 gallons per tank = 140 gallons X however much it is per gallon.
Last August it was $4.00 per gallon, in November it was $1.90!!

If I don't get work lined up I won't be going to the dunes this year.

Cost from last weekends Florence trip:

Gas - $140.00
Honeymann - $57.00
Food and Beverages - $100.00

So not bad $300 for three days of SAND!!!!

Hopefully my April trip will be the same if not cheaper.....

That's a heck of a ride, how was the weather?</end quote></div>

We lucked out! It was dry for the most part Even some sunshine at Cannon Beach and Longview. We did hit a few rain showers on the way through Raymond but didn't get too wet.

Good Morning PSAR!

Guess I better check out that AARP insurance. I hate the way they stand on a lot of political agendas but then I'm not that fond of the way the insurance we have now stands on things either. What the heck is a practicing redneck to do?

It's raining over here and lot's of mud. Not looking forward to helping move cows tomorrow, going to be a long, wet, sloppy day. Anybody want to go for a slow motion quad ride? You get to have "interesting" stuff thrown up by your tires.

Have a warm and safe day.

Mike

We have a 35 hour a week limit imposed on drivers, it's not a $9.00 an hour cut, (and I would hate to have an hourly pay cut and glad I haven't) but still a good chunk of change lost per month. If this keeps up through the year, I'll be looking at a yearly loss of $20,000 from past years. I know it's not as drastic as not being able to find work or getting laid off, but it still makes the budget tough to meet and trips to the dunes are impossible
