Where to Ride in Socal? Rental Property close to Riding?
I am wondering if anyone has some information on a good place to ride within a couple hours drive from Southern Cal.(san fernando valley) I am looking for a rental property that either has trails or riding on its property or is close to somewhere great to ride some atv's. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. My daughter has her school break the first week of March, that is when I am thinking of taking this trip.

There are a ton of places to ride, but you will need to be willing to do some driving. What kind of machines are you riding?
Get these maps. They cover everything nearby: http://www.ctuc.info/

Some of the mountain areas on the maps may be closed, due to the fires last summer.....
Hungry Valley might be the best bet. Maybe we can get a group together and give you a tour???

I like the Imperial Sand Dunes and Mountains around northern Glamis. We stay at the KOA Hot Springs in Niland. You have rock crawling, sand dunes, desert trails, and it is a LOT less crowded than Glamis. Another area is the Calico Ghost town, they rent cabins and you can wheel right out your door. Again lots of trails from serious rock crawling to sand and desert trails. You can also visit the ghost town (sort of a tourist trap) or explore the many abandoned silver mines.
