Anyone in Dale City, Northern Virginia? I have heard of a spot off of 95 which I can't locate. Anyone possibly PM me with some help? I promise not to give it out to more than three guys I ride with.....hdnvn@msn.com

 

I am in Alexandria and would love a spot to ride that is close by....If anyone has anything please let me know.

 

There actually used ot be several south of there. One was off Courthouse road (630). Just turn right as you get off and there is a dirt road/parking area.. but that trail has been closed for a couple years. Ditto for the one that used to be off 610. That was made into that shopping area you pass with Target etc. Gone for good.
Then there was one was south of Fredericksburg It is closed too so I won't waste time telling you how to get there. Right now the closest around Northern VA that IS legal is Taskers gap out near where 66 and 81 meet. You might also go down south of Richmond to the drag strip in Dinwiddy. Virginia motorsports park it is called. They have several miles of trails.. Pay to ride. Not bad for novice riders. Then there is the track just on the Maryland side of the 301 bridge. Near the drag strip. It costs you an arm and a leg. Next check out the Forest service websites. They have a couple areas. Taskers gap is one, I can't remember the other one's name. Cost for those two is 5 bucks. Other than that, you are going to have to make friends with land owners.

 

Rather than leave the two new posts up and have an argument over who is or isn't right, I removed them both.

Let's stick with actual information on actual areas.

There is indeed some very good riding in Dale City, we ride there almost every weekend. If not there we go to Stafford, VA. But with all good riding areas, we need to be selective about who we share info with. It only takes one bad apple to screw up everyone elses fun! If interested you can PM me and maybe we can hook up and ride there. I live in Arlington.

 

Hey i'm out in manassas i would love to have somewhere closer to practice at rather than go to west va. all the time.
