Planning a trip to Brimstone TN
#1
I quess my friends and myself have decided on Brimstone TN for our first major out of state trip. Wondering if anyone in the area that has ridden there could give me their thoughts. Is it going to be worth the trip from Florida?

Celltech, I was just there in November thanksgiving week and rode brimstone, drove down from Iowa 1,400 mile round trip, the trails are great and the map is very easy to read. I say it's well worth the drive.

If you like a challenge, then Brimstone's the place to ride. Lots of steep trails, some mud and a scattering of easier trails. Brimstone is ideal if you are an experienced rider on a good ATV, not so great a location if you are bringing the wife and kids and are looking for a casual ride. About half the trails are blue (moderate) a third are red (difficult) and the rest are green (easy). Many of the blue trails would be considered red in other riding areas.
There are over 50 different trails - more than enough to keep you busy for a week or more. Plus, Brimstone joins up with Coal Creek to the South and North Cumberland (formerly Royal Blue and Sunquist WMA's) to the East. Lots of trails, lots of great views - well worth the trip.

I went to Brimstone the weekend of Nov 15. I drove about 8 1/2 hours from the NC coast to meet my brother and his wife who lives a few hours away in KY. They have been to most ATV parks in the KY/TN area and they both think it is the best riding. I had a great time myself and am willing to make the trip again in the future. You're prolly used to swamp and mud like we have here in NC/SC. The mountian terrain is a very refreshing change from what I am used to. Make sure you have good brakes and air down your tires!
