As students at Salt Lake Community College we are doing some
research on recreational and BLM land in the West Desert area of Utah.
Particularly in relation to the proposal to have nuclear waste deposited and
stored in multiple places such as Skull Valley. We would like to have your
opinion, and the personal opinion of your employees about this situation.
Also, please pass this on to anyone you think would be interested in
including their opinion on this situation. Please send results to
palerie@hotmail.com
1. Your name:
2. Your age:
3. Place of Employment:
4. Gender:
5. Have you been to the West Desert area of Utah lately?
If so, When?

6. Why did you go there? Hiking? Camping? Fishing? Use of ATVs?
Motorcycles? OHVs? Other?

7. Who was with you? Friends? Family? Kids? No one?

8. How often do you visit the West Desert?

9. What is your opinion concerning proposals to store nuclear

Travis Taylor, 31, N/A,Male,Yes, I went to ride ATV's with friends,I visit different parts of the west desert areas about 6-8 times per year. I would be against any nuclear waste stored in Utah. We have no facility that produces nuclear waste therefore we shouldn't be forced to store others waste. If they want to produce it then they can store it. Would it change my vacation plans? of course I don't want to ride any place that will endanger my health. The west is open, beautiful, clean, and clear, we don't need to fill it up with the eastern crap!!!
