yep- though it's been awhile. I usually head up the other direction towards the Quaddick reservoir, there's less deep water to cross. A couple of guys from this site have come up already.
We did almost 40 miles and still had trails to hit- I'm finding new trails every time I head out riding from my house.
There's a little deep water to cross (3-4' deep) and from what I've heard from a few buddies, it's gotten deeper. But I guess there's another trail to get you across the river. You also have to cross rt 395- which isn't too bad- It's a fun ride, would like to do it again. Last time I went. was with a group of 5 riders. We were following one guy who knew his way pretty good. I'd have to use my gps but could probably find my way through again. I think it was a good 70 miles or so. One of the trails runs right behind a DQ / gas station-

Couldn't disagree more! The October Mountain & Pittsfield trails are nice- I've been riding in Mass for over 20 years and have found some pretty nice areas to ride. There's a lot of private club's in the worcester area that allow atv's on their property for a very small fee- Like $100 year. There's a ton of legal riding in Mass- if you do some research on the subject you'll see for yourself. I can ride from Foxwoods Ct, to Wallum Lake in Douglas- (40 miles of trails) and I haven't even started on the other trail systems in the area. Beats driving 4 hours to a NH trail- just to get there and turn around because it's washed out - It's happened to me a few times. That's a long drive for nothing.
Some NH trails are nice- but after a long day of work the last thing I'm doing is driving 4+ hours to a NH trail when October Mountain is only 90 minutes away from central Ma.

I agree, pretty good riding up there...
Beergut I would like to take you up on the riding some time.. Are the trails big enough for a ranger? & is there a place where we could camp with a RV near by? thanks hope we can hook up some time...jim

Blurred Vision ATV Club based out of Lynn, MA does our riding in NH. We have been toying with the idea of riding in MA, but there aren't enough trails near us to make it worth it. I have been to the Rowley trail system a few years back, before they shut it down. Not bad for a 20 minute drive up. Otherwise we do all our riding in NH. If anyone is interested in joining us up there, let us know! Check out our website for our next ride! (www.bvatvclub.com) Ride on!
