H/M and Gilbert conditions?
#1
How is Hatfield McCoy Trails and Gilbert WV doing with the recovery after the storms and flood af this spring? Has anyone been there recently. We have plans to stay at Trail House for a week in early September. Haven't been contacted by them for any cancellations, we're hoping everything is OK for them.

I saw this on Fisher's ATV and Dirt Trax TV and was wondering why no one has said much about this. I have yet to ride in the Gilbert Area, but was wanting to sometime. Most of the time it's in the Pinnacle Creek Or Indian Trail areas. Sad to see that much damage to one area. We had the same thing happen here in Western NC several years ago. WV reminded of the Chimney Rock area.

I wanna head down there for a couple days and see what its like. I read a lot about it and it seems like my kinda place. Are they friendly with dirtbikes also cause most of my buddies have em and its hard to find places that are.

I was there the week after the storms and major damage was done. Half of Gilbert was shut down, but everything else was business as usual. Couldn't believe all the damage.
The good thing is that Gilbert (Rockhouse trail) was really the only H/M area that was really effected. Even a week after all the trails were back open.
Your plans for the fall should be fine. Enjoy it down there. It's the best riding I have ever done.
