California Folks

Well I guess I'll repost this one.
I'm wondering how many of my fellow ATVers live in California? Where abouts do you call home? Where you do your riding?
As I mentioned before, if the east coast folks can get together, why can't we? If we get a pretty good response maybe all of us forum participants can plan one or two trips per year to get together, show off our rides and see how well we can use them.
Lets hear it, whose in?

Northern Ca. up by Eureka, I think that could be a really good and fun idea. I am fairley new to atv riding and do not know many places to ride even around my local area but would be willing to travel some to find a place!

I'd love to go on Labor Day. Only thing is my wife is prego and is supposed to drop the kid Oct. 10. I don't know if I/she will be able to make a trip a month before due date. I'd leave her at home but if something were to happen during my leave. Unfortunatly I do have my priorities (though sometimes she wonders)
I was actually thinking the weekends of Aug 7 or 21, of heading up to Pismo.

I just talked to Charles, a.k.a. Quadfreak, and he's already got a group heading to Pismo Sat. morning, the 21st. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the "Boss" and the rug rats and my dad just got a brand new off road fun kart, so he'll be coming too.
What kind of paddles should I buy? Durability is more important than light weight.

Well maybe I'll finally get to meet Charles and you then. I just made reservations at an RV park starting Friday and leaving Sunday. I'll be bringing the wife and kids in the RV. My father and his wife might be coming in from Reno also.
So are you guys on the beach or at a park? I'd rather be on the beach but I don't want to worry about getting stuck.
Well give me the lowdown and lets see if we can get together for a ride.
So is anybody else in for that weekend?

Darby,
That sounds real good. I just called up
a couple of my buddies and we'll be head-
over to Pismo on the 21st of August and
22nd. I went there a month ago with my
friends stock chevy pickup with a 18 foot
trailer and the crossing was easy. It
varies so I'll give you the phone number
and they will let you know. it was only
6" deep and 4 feet wide. No problem.
But, conditions do change. We are
going to be camping on the beach where the
action is. I must say they need showers
on the beach. The campsites nearby have
showers and a 7 month waiting list.
Nevertheless I'll give you my pager
number and I'll be carrying my cell
phone and we'll hookup for sure. When
I was there last time some guy let me
ride his 330r with a drag pipe and once I
got it in 3rd gear the front end went
all the way up and that was a rush.
Talk to you soon, See you on the 21st.
Scott way to go!! Let's Do it!!!!

My wife called yesterday to get reservations to stay on the beach and they told her they were full up all month. Then she called Silver Spur (man that sounds like my kind of place, lol) and got us a couple of slots there. Guess we'll be drag'n all out junk over every day.
