a lot of opinions on bags around the forum. Personally- I think tamarack makes the best (and the best customer service), but I also like the moose brand. I once bought a used tamarack 2-up seat from a guy, the wiring for the heated seat was all screwed up- I called tamarack and spoke to a girl who answered the phone- told her my problem and that I was the second owner of the seat and within 2 days I had a fed-ex package at my front door with a whole new wiring harness and color schematic- I didn't pay a thing! and... she also emailed me the wiring schematic as well- best service I've ever experienced- and it's all made in the USA

Tamarack ATV Accessories - Quality ATV Boxes and Bags (I swear I don't work for them )

I think velcro is the worst- if it gets muddy- it wont stick, if it gets wet in the winter and freezes, it won't stick and if you're kicking it down some rough trails, I don't trust it.

Zippers are ok, but not if they are exposed to the elements, again with the ice preventing it from opening (has happened to me).

The best set up IMO- is the flap, over the zipper, which is secured with the thumb buckle. The flap protects the zipper, and the thumb buckle provides quick & easy access.

Bulldog Camps is a nice place off the grid. I have ridden both sleds and atv's in that area for a long time lots of loggin roads and dusty in the summer. Great off tral riding. Look into Coos Canyon a lot closer and a variety of terrain.

I love my Tamarack classic front box. I had bags for years, and they always seemed to never make it one season before the zippers failed, the hold downs failed, and there was holes in it. This last year I decided to go with a box. What a difference! I u-bolted it to my rack (which it comes with, just have to drill holes). Has been great, easier to clean, keeps mud and water out. Works great on the back rack, and was big enough to hold what I needed without being too bulky.

I agree. I have never had luck with bags. Even the really high quality ones don't make it too long before the tie-downs tear off. Especially when you ride hard. Plus they are NOT waterproof. Best bet is a good quality plastic box bolted on to the racks.
