I've been out in Dudley and the trunkline in Thompson almost 3 times a week but I'd definitely like to explore some of the other trails in the area. I'll pitch in for some beverages if anyone's down

I didn't go last week, but I am planning on going tomorrow. The trails are open. The first of May I believe is when they open. I kow most trails in Maine don't open until Memorial day, but most of Mass is May 1st.

Actually, from the posts I have seen on FB lately, lots of Maine trails are open, or will be by Saturday the 12th. Most if not all the rail trails, the trails up in northern Maine, Turner trails, and probably more. The opening date for other trails is May 15th, and based on the early opening of many trails I could see that being true.

Atlas...my take on MA..im done! I spent years helping to maintain trails when i belonged to 4x4 clubs, always rode my dirtbikes out there at pittsfield and savoy. Now i cant even go there without being harrassed by the elo about joining his club or where i can park even though it is marked on the map. I have a friend the lives near october, so the only time i will ride there is if i visit him and ride from his house.
It takes me 4 hours to get out there and numerous tolls, 2 hours i can be at LMFT, slip the guy there a couple bucks for the parking and ride a good mix of trails without being harrassed.
Ma can kiss my ....

Did you get out to October Mountain?
Me and a buddy rode it last wednesday, was real wet.
The trails leading to the nothern part of the mountain were closed as were the parking areas on the north side. They said they plan on opening them, but when, who knows.

If you can ride during the week, let me know.

BTW, it would be rough driving a sporty there.

Probably never. They don't care about the riding experience as long as they get the registration money. They take the $$ and pay the DEP to bust your ***** instead of doing trail maintenance.

Don't forget the day passes on your person and on your dashboard, what a joke

unfortunatly you are right brian! I have seen it go from Myles Standish getting partially closed to now needing a day pass to ride Pittsfield.
The writing is on the wall, Ma is slowly closing all the forests, the claim to minimalize the impact is BS. As others get closed the impact on the few open becomes greater until they close it due to overusage.

i just bought a new outty from the dealer iin mass (higgins powersports)- they asked if I wanted to reg in mass... I told them no way! forget this state! mass comes down harder on atv'ers than they do on crimaliens and crack dealers! Mass ain't getting a cent from me until they decide to show a bit more respect to the atv community.

my money will be spent in NH & Maine. atv friendly states that welcome the commerce
