We live in norhteast Texas around the Mount Pleasant area. We have several pretty good places to ride. Lots of acres of all types of terrain. Let me know if your interested I could give you some more details and directions. It would be a good drive for you but I think it would be worth it!

This is driving me crazy. It is so hard to find places to ride in TX. You would think with TX being so damn big you could ride just about anywhere. Well that's not the case. My wife and I drove to Fort Hood Last weekend. What a mistake that was. They told me the only area open was the moto track. Anyway, that was a waste of a day. Seeing how I live in Houston. So what I'm getting at is,I would love any input on ANY trails or riding areas anywhere in TX..........

I live in Austin, Fort Hood is my favorite riding area. It's great!

They are having problems with enviromentalist or somthing right now. No ATV's or dirt bikes allowed, they cause to much erosion, but tanks are allowed.

Check this page for "the real story."

I hope it opens again soon.

ADAM: When I was in the Marine Corps I was stationed in 29 palms. Which is about 60 miles north of Palm Springs Ca. You could pretty much ride anywhere you wanted(outside the base) , but you can't ride on the base. 960 Sq miles of desert. What a waste!!! The damn tree huggers are really starting to **** me off. I haven't riden since the 4th of July. I NEED TO RIDE... I think I'm going to Victoria pretty soon. Anyone else that wants someone to ride with let me know......
