I,ve read in this forum that tresspassing in Texas is now a felnoy, is this true???? Tell me its not so, good old lets receed from the union Texas. I can't believe that Texas would turn anyone who strays into a felon, I guess thats a good reason not to live in the lone star state!!!! I understand the anger etc. that land owners have to endure because of trespassers, but making atvers felons, come on now give me a break!!!!

Where did you here that? See http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/msb/atvcode.htm According to this info, it's not a felony.

Read the thread tresspassing next to the bottom of the page, look under mudmachines reply. I never said that I would tresspass on someones land, my point is, the punishment by far outweights the crime!!!!!!!!!! A felon is someone who shoots, robbs, rapes other people, not someone who might ride onto someones land to enjoy the view!!!!!

uuumm... call your local Texas Game Warden.... I took my nephews to their Hunter Safety Course last month and the Game Warden there informed us ALL of that... from what I remember, the law was put into effect January 1... and instead of a landowner having to continuously replace signs and fences; all he/she has to do is mark the property line (trees, posts, dirt.. whatever) with purple paint. If you cross that marker, you risk being hauled to jail!!!... NOW, that being said, I don't know how strictly that will be enforced....

put racing stripes on your land, it'll make it go faster. and keep trespassers out too.
