Here's my question...is the Badlands worth a 4.5 hour drive? I'm used to riding Hatfield-McCoy and Mio, MI both of which have hundreds of miles of trails. Badlands sounds cool but only 800 acres? My cousin is making the trip this weekend but i'm thinking that 3 days is a little much for such a small area.

I cant tell you how it compares but I regulary drive 1.5 hours each way there for one day ride. I think I will get some people for camp there this year for a two day. It has a lot of different types of riding. Lots of sand, lots of trails, some good mud if it hasn't rained too much and a creek to run through.

yes the creek is awesome, i recomend saving it for last.....less cleaning you have to do to your quad, just drive up and down it once and the whole underneath is clean.....i'd love to spend a day or 2 there, but i usually only go for 1 day, its about a 2 hour drive from me and well worth it imho, 800 acres of pure fun, all different stages of riding/challenges.
and the figure 8 in the sand.....WAS FUN
