Thumbs down Where to ride in CT?

Does anyone know where to ride LEGALLY in CT? I tried to find more info on the internet. No luck. Currently, I ride in NH where my ATV's are registered.

If you want to ride, do what I did, register in MA, and ride the state forests.

Thanks for quick respond. Did you pay Ma tax if you are not MA resident? Or, do you have tax exempt? For registration? How it works? What is your favorite park, to ride?

I live in New Britain, CT. And there story begins. I didn't pay sales tax. I bought ATV in NH on my other NH address. In state of NH there is no sales tax. I have registered my ATV's in there. But it is 2.5 hour drive. I was looking for something closer for quick 1 day sunday ride.

As far as the sales tax, its not a big deal, lots of people buy quads 2nd hand and never register or pay sales tax. But if you want to register a vehicle in MA and you are not from there, they require proof that you paid it in some state. If you have not, then you can pay sales tax on what you "paid" for it. All they require is a bill of sale, if you do it in person, which I is what I did. you can also do it online, but the first time you register, you have to go to DMV in MA.

I know some people paid "close" to nothing for their quads, so 6% on let say $200 is $12. then you have to play for a Out of State registration which is $20 for a year.

If you have any other questions, or if you do decide to register in MA and you want to ride, hit me up with an email CoachImtiaz at comcast dot net .

I know what your talking about, thats what I would like to do, quick trip and ride for a few hours and head home. I could ride during the week, but its tough to find people that have a flexible schedule as I do. PSF is about 2 hours from me here in Shelton, but I dont mind. Beartown is a little closer, but I have never ridden there, or at least never ridden a quad there. I rode a mountain bike there a long time ago.

What do you ride?

shoot me an email to coachimtiaz at comcast dot net accout.
