Default Western Mass Trails

WEll I just returned from october Mt. state forest, what a dissapiontment !!!!! The road to the parking area was CRAP 5mph was the speed for 1.5 miles to avoid breaking my trailer. The trails were POORLY maintained ,trees all over the trail Rocks Rocks and More Rocks not that that is all bad but 3mph is not the way to ride a macheine. I have also been to tolland state forest and not much better just LARGER ROCKS. Now dont get me wrong I like SOME rock crawling but some flats would be cool The next try will be bear town state forest but i am not expecting a lot better. You would think if the state wants to keep atvs off the roads and out of illegal areas they would groom some trails.. By the way the camping areas $15.00 are very nice.

That's why I don't ride here in Massachusetts. I usually go up to NH and will be going up to ME on vacation. Massachusetts just doesn't offer the miles and varied terrain that NH and ME do. VT is worth a look to. The required VASA fees and club fees tend to be pricier but the registration is pretty cheap even for out of staters. NH, ME, and VT are all making efforts to attract ATVers while MA watches the dollars go over the boarder. Nothing new there.
