April 1st Nemadji State Forest minn. trail ride

hrc200x, I'm sure the ground will still be frozen on the 1st of April. If you decide to come along you will have competition as there is a fellow on a ATC 250r coming! I believe the Finlayson/Askov exit is about 50 miles south of Duluth. You would be more than welcome to join us.

HRC200X - We love guys on 3 wheelers. It's old school man. Seriously,.....bring yourself and your 350X. It should be fun. You and I can spend all day pulling our 3 wheelers out of the snow. Mine's a 86 250R. She's goes pretty good, until I start to slow down or stop. Then, she digs straight towards China :-)
Hope to see you there.

hrc200x, I can't say how many people usually go because this is the first year. Right now it looks like 20+! Hard to tell how many will actually show up, I think the weather will play a big factor in that one. I now I'll be there rain, snow, sleet or sunshine.

quadking,
My rule is long as it runs and you are willing to ride it all day! jk This thing is getting big! It is looking like about 20-30 quads, but it is tough to tell who will actually show hopefully it's sunny and 60!

Have fun! I just got my 250 back together yesterday and can't wait for the snow to melt.
For those who are going, remember use common sense. The trails will be very soft. I don't like to tell people what to do, but please keep this in mind.
hrc200x, MapQuest shows that Finlayson is about 65 mile south of Duluth.

hrc200x, It is a good mix of legal multi use sled trails, logging roads, a few ditches, gravel roads, a large sand pit, and a couple mud holes. I wouldn't worry about getting stuck this time of year because there is no way the frost will be out of the swamp bottoms yet. I would exspect everything to muddy, possibly snow covered in the woods. There is still better than 2ft of snow in the woods here in Pine City, they had at least a foot more to start with so, I would expect snow at least in the woods. The loop we have planned is about 50 miles and includes a stop at the Hitching Post bar in Holyoke for lunch.
