April 1st Nemadji State Forest minn. trail ride
#1
Hi, all
Just wondering if anyone was interested in riding the Nemadji State Forest in minn. on the 1st of April? That is the first day the trails are legaly open, its a Sunday. So far Roofer-x , and a group from Red Wing are going besides myself and couple of buddies. We plan on meeting at Banning Junction (Finlayson Askov exit of 35n)at 7:00am for breakfast and leaving there by 8-8:30 for the trails. Anyone interested is more than welcome to join us. It should be about a 50 miles ride. We will be hitting the trail out of the little town of Nickerson, about 20 miles up the road from Banning Junction. Feel free to email if you have questions

I was sledding up there a couple weeks ago. There is a ton of snow! If we dont get some warmer weather soon you will be hard pressed to go anywhere off of packed trails.
If we do get some warm weather though it should make for some great mud holes. About time we got some good moisture back on the Minnesota trails.....maybe fill the old "sinkhole" (at Redtop)back up to where it should be.

Oh yeah... I am quite familiar where it is. I have been pulled out of it probably as many times as I have made it through. I have ridden there many years even before it was an established trail area. I only refered to it because I have seen Mnxplorers pics of it and I know he is familiar with it. Actually it has been at the lowest levels I have seen it the past few years. This spring should be a banner year (if you have a submarine)
See you on the trails.....
