THE TRAIL HAS BOUNDRIES DESEGNATED BY YELLOW PAINT . YOU HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO RIDE. IF YOU WERE TO GO OUT OF THE TRAIL ALL YOU WOULD BE IN IS THE WOODS. THEY TRY TO LET PEOPLE GO IN GROUPS OF 20 OR SO AT ABOUT 5 MIN INTERVALS SO THAT IT WONT BE A BIG CLUSTER. LAST YEAR I GOT BACK UP TWICE BUT IT WAS ONLY FOR A FEW MINUTES. HEY SWAMPMONSTER THEY HAVE A HOLE OUT THERE JUST FOR YOU. IT'S CALLED SUICIDE HOLE. YOU SHOULD MAKE IT THROUGH THERE WITH THE BIKE YOU GOT. IT'S A MUDHOLE ABOUT 20FT WIDE 200FT LONG AND 5FT DEEP SO YOU PRETTY MUCH FLOAT THROUGH IT LETTING THE VAMPS PADDLE YOU. LATER

Would I be able to make it through most of the holes out there? Check my signature to see my quad and mods. I will also have the high perf. kit by that date.

YOU WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM MATT. THERE ARE SOME HOLES OUT THERE NOBODY GETS THROUGH. SUICIDE HOLE (EARLIER POST) IS'NT THE WORST ONE BUT IT IS THE MOST POPULAR. THERE'S USUALLY A COUPLE HUNDRED PEOPLE STANDING ALONG SIDE WATCHING EVERYBODY GO THROUGH IT. ABOUT HALF THE QUADS OUT THERE ARE STOCK. BUT I WOULD SUGGEST BRINGING A TOW STRAP.(EVERYBODY)

Grizz,
Do you have a breather system on your quad? Is it needed at marengo to not cause engine damage from the deep water just in case I do get stuck? I still doubt my parents would let me go, I think it is the day after we get out of school, AND its like 320 minutes from where I live according to yahoo maps.

MATT: THE STOCK BREATHER SYSTEM ON A GRIZZ IS SO HIGH I DONT REALLY NEED ONE.
IVE GOT A TRANNY VENT WHICH FOR AUTO'S
IS A MUST FOR SERIOUS MUD RIDING. AS FOR YOU I'M NOT SURE. I DO KNOW THAT ALL THE HONDA'S OUT THERE THAT GET SERIOUS HAVE THEM. AND AS FOR WATER, THERE IS NONE. IT IS ALL MUD 100%. YOUR BREATHER SHOULD NOT BE EFFECTED JUST AS LONG AS YOU STAY OUT OF THE REALLY BIG HOLES. WHAT'S THE BIGGEST CITY AROUND YOU, THERE ISNT A PLACE IN LA. 320MIN AWAY FROM HEBERT. THATS 8 HRS.

Actually 320 mins is about 5 and a half hours. 60 minutes=1 hour 320 divided by 60 = 5.3-hours. I libe within fifteen minutes of baton rouge. Have you ever rode at the bonne carrie spillway? I heard it was good too.

MY BAD MATT. MATH NEVER WAS MY STRONGPOINT. I'VE BEEN DOWN IN THAT AREA.
I USED TO WORK IN N.O. I CAN GET TO N.O. IN ABOUT 3 1/2 HOURS. I WOULD BET YOU COULD GET TO MARENGO IN ABOUT THE SAME TIME. CHECK OUT A MAP AND SEE IF THERE IS A DIFFERENT ROUTE THAN THE ONE YAHOO SET YOU UP WITH. I'LL CHECK ONE AND SEE WHAT I COME UP WITH.

My map at home says that from baton rouge to monroe is only 180 miles, hebert the place where marengo is, is a bit short of monroe, I think it would be between 2 and 1/2 or 3 and a half hours.

Do you think I should get a breather made and installed before going to marengo??? My air intake is under my gas tank I think. It's pretty high up. I've only had it under twice, but it kept running because I was on the throttle hard!
