Southern US ATV Trip
#1
I have a couple of months before I go back to work. I'm thinking of taking a trip across the southern states and do some sightseeing and exploring. Could I get some input from some of you that either live in the south or have done some atv'ing there. I'm looking more for scenery than mud or harsh rides.I would be traveling from Maryland - south to atleast Tenn and then west as far as Arizona. Maybe farther south than Tenn.
Thanks

Don't know alot about the other states, but AZ puts out a brochure about their off road riding areas. Some have actual tracks(like motorcross tracks) some are just acres of riding. They range from small dune areas out by the Colorado River to cinder fields left by volcanos just north of Flagstaff. There is even one out by Safford that has 2 natural hot tubs to relax in after a long day of riding! And(as I mentioned in another post) you almost can't come this far and not go the couple of hours further west(just across the CA border) and make a pilgrimage to Glamis-120,000 acres of pure sand dunes to play in!

BTW-all of these are beautiful and varying scenery and terrain! At some the riding is great and the views are even better! PS- you could even just come to Phoenix and go on a different ride everyday for a month all within an hour of the city-there are lots of open riding areas along 87,US 60,off I-10 and also areas along the Salt River,Four Peaks,Bushnell Tanks, the Rim Road in Payson(ok,about 2 hours away)-the list goes on and on.
