Default Allegheny National Forrest

I had a question more about regulations. My friend and I want to go riding this summer in the Allegheny national forrest. I read that you need liability insurance.

If I was to have this insurance would it cover my friend if he was riding one of my quads or even one of his?

Let me know thanks

There are a few things you need to ride in the Allegheny National Forest. First off your quad needs to be registered in the state of Pennsylvania or a state that PA has a reciprocating agreement with. I believe that PA recognizes ATV registrations from Ohio and maybe New York. Secondly you need to have a minimum of liability insurance on each ATV that you intend to ride. Thirdly you need to have a permit for the Allegheny National Forest on each ATV, you can get a permit that is good for one calendar year for $35 or a day permit for $10. The following link has more info about the permits. Allegheny National Forest - Passes & Permits

I know that my quads have to be registered in PA, and they are and I know that I need to get passes. Will my liability insurance cover my friend if he rides my other quad?

That is a question you need to ask of your insurance agent really. Coverage will be different depending on company/policy/etc.
