If you live near the East Bay and like to ride tracks, check out Sand Hill Ranch in Brentwood. They have 5 tracks, icluding a flat track, with a full range of difficulty, from novice to expert. As the name implies the dirt has alot of sand in it, so hook up is great. It's a bit on the expensive side at $20 p/quad, but you can ride from sun up to sun down Wed.- Mon. Sand Hill is closed on Tues. Brentwood is a litte over an hour from San Jose, 45min from Hayward, 1 1/2 hrs from Sacramento. If you are coming during the summer, bring alot of water. 100 degree heat is not uncommon here.
