Pittsfield is my favorite location, and I drive to 2 hours to get there. I would'nt consider it very technical, because the trails are wide and fairly groomed. You can ride all day,use restrooms at picnic area(grills provided),without using same trails.I would consider it medium sized, and not rocky at all.I have had my reg. checked at the picnic area. I have a warrior + scrambler ready for season to start in Mass.Let me know when time comes. How about sharing some trails in your area.I here Danbury has great trails.
Good Luck

October Mountain is nice. Depends on what kind of riding you want to do. I would say it probably will be still snowy up there now... But when spring comes the ride is nice. Not a ton of poeple ride it. Like I said there are some rocky parts and some tight trails but it makes a fun ride. In my experience it is pretty wet up there from a lot of run off. But try it some time... You may enjoy it...

I went to October Mountain in June and rode all day not hitting the same trail twice! You better check the Mass Laws though, there is a season for riding and I think it doesn't start till May. It was very wet there in June and this spring should be a mud gourmets delight!
