I am planning on a trip there in July and was wondering if there is any age restrictions for riding on the dunes, my friends kids are 6 and up and they were wondering if they will be able to ride along? Thanks, gj

Yes there are age restrictions on kids drivging quads and bikes. I think you have to be aleast 14 im not sure though. I know there is some sort of age restriction. I know a 6 year old could not drive anything. They would be able to ride along in a jeep or something though.

According to a the Silver Lake State Park Special ORV Rules flyer, it is unlawful to "operate any vehicle without possessing a valid driver's license except for a person 12 to 16 years of age if that person is in possession of a valid ORV Safety Certificate and is under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian . . ."

E-mail me if you want a copy of the flyer.
