red top trail, Isle MN
#2
The DNR lists the RedTop system as having 11.3 miles of trail. But it is connected to the Soo Line also, and that extends all the way to Saunders Jct. (Wisconsin) Approx 114 miles from its beginning in Genola MN. There are trails off of this also. There are also many miles of trails in the nearby Snake river State forest.
There is ample parking in the town of Isle and also accomodations for overnight stays. There is also the Snake River campground located east of highway 65 and the trail goes right to the RedTop system.
The terrain is varied and scenic and this time of year has plenty of mud. You will have a good time!
