I've been searching the internet looking for trails in the Algoma/Sudbury region of Ontario and the only thing I've been finding are guided tours from resorts, etc. What I'm looking for are places that I can camp and ride my ATVs from the campground or trailer to a nearby trail system. Is there anything like that (similar to the trails in Michigan) in Ontario?

Also, what are the licensing requirements for operating your ATV in Canada?

I've seen numerous posts from people in Ontario on these forums. Help me out guys!

Sorry Donovan;

I don't check this forum too often. As far as I know this IS mostly in the Sudbury area as of yet. But it will be growing quickly. Basically anywhere there is a sled club, will probably have an ATV club soon. I came to this forum to update my posting for North Ontario trails. So I will have more info there. If you have any questions aboot trails up there just look me up. I can be found usually on the Polaris forum. Just do a search for Ox.

Also I forgot;

It would be a good idea to have your registration, title (if you have one), and bill of sale. Anything like that. I have been going through customs regularly with my toys for 5 years and haven't been asked for any of these yet. I have been checked for [contraban?] or whatever it is that they are lookin' for. But not too often. Just depends pon where you cross and if you like to draw short straws. IT'S NOT THAT BAD! My last trip I took an unregistered machine up. I didn't worry aboot it at all. But not recommended.

Just take registration and such with you. No trail permits as of yet. If you would feel better aboot it, you could give a $20 donation or whatever to the club. It would be a nice gesture. Even if you donate to a snowmobile club, would be aboot the same thing. Same people, same trails.

Didn't mean to double post, but the first one didn't seem to take at first. Now I answered your question twice. You should really know what you're doing now. LOL!
