Sorry Chuck,

I don't think your KQ could pull a sick ***** out of bed, let alone a grade.

Now my Expedition is a different story. Had the motor rebuilt, went to Canada for the weekend and it did the exact same thing as in Hulbert. Except a lot more pieces of chain went flying. Now Polaris wants to have the motor rebuilt again. Called my attorney and said I want a new bike or my money back. At the very least, I want a new motor. The bike has 22 miles on dirt and over 1800 on the trailer.

Talk to you later.

Rich

Chuck,

Sure would appreciate knowing the date they groom those trails if they tell anyone. Baldwin really is a great day of riding with lunch at the 37 club and dinner at Emmerson Lake on the way back to Pentwater(family double-wide there). Haven't done the 'little O' as we tried to get down it(tight) and found it to be poorly marked at the intersections. Don't you take my trail grooming(retirement) job................

Rich! I had one of those ladies on the back of my KQ once and she said she was thumbing a ride 'cause some joker on a Polaris Expedition, tried to ride her when his zipper and engine broke at the same time. I asked her, "how is it he broke his zipper"? She said, "He thought I wanted a zipper but what I said was, I want a ZAPPER!" Trust me bro, you gotta get some equipment that works...
Hope you can get the quad replaced without the use of the lawyer. You'd think, the dealer and Polaris, would want to keep a good reputation going. Good luck or go out and buy a Kaw, Yami or C/dale.

Don't worry John! I'm not gonna take your grooming away. I'm gonna stand by and wait for you to come up the trail. I'll be selling Kool-aid, for my retirement. You're gonna need it...

Hi Guys,

I don't believe the CCC doe's any grooming on the Manistee trails. The only time I've seen them groomed is late fall. That might not be true, If I recall it was groomed last year in the spring. I believe they don't groom it because it's mixed traffic, and they try to keep the speeds down. I have run them flat out before, and while it is alot of fun, two way trails, and high speeds on some of them, don't mix. Traffic can get pretty heavy on weekends. I am partial to those trails since we have property a couple miles from the trailhead at Carrieville, but haven't ridden there much the past couple of years, because of the trail conditions.
John,
Do you have a personal E-mail addy. I've been hesitant to e-mail you because of your mail address. I'd like to get together with you sometime, to talk and or ride. I missed out on your get together with Flipper, we had already left on vacation.
Chuck,
We are in Luther pretty much all summer. If you'd like to get together for a ride sometime, let me know. There are quite a few trails besides Manistee within an hour or so of Baldwin, and though I expected to have more time off this year to explore, I'll find the time!

Sure Brian, you get in touch with John and let me know if you guys decide to ride in the Baldwin, area I can come up if I have plenty of notice. Say, two weeks.
I don't know who does the maintenance on Manistee Trails but the signs are being kept up and there's not a lot of brush in the trail so someone is doing the job of maintaining the trail system. My point was that it's not being graded, Brian. Snow mobilers use that trail also and they hate whoops! My guess is they'll have those nasty bumps gone by November, anyway.
Thanks for the offer, look forward to riding...

Chuck/Dusty,

Talked to a guy that claims the trails are groomed(when?)in Oct. You can use the shop e-mail anytime and get my cell #; travel through Allegan Co. and the lakeshore daily.

Rich,

Sorry to hear about that engine again. I'd agree; nothing but new or write me a check and sell it to someone else. Hope all's well up there.

Could you give me more information on Long Lake near Lima, OH. Can you ride doubles? Do you need flags? etc. We are always looking for new places to ride. I have a 2001 Trailboss and a 5 yr. old passenger. Husband rides a Honda 250X and 10 year old son rides Kaw. Bayou 220.

Thanks, Sam

My 10 year old son rode his fun kart at Wayne last year. It has roll cage, and a 6 horse with torque convertor. Balloon tires and the wheel base was under the 50" requirement. Noone stopped us. I even called the Ranger's office to make sure he could ride the kart. They were very confused. They think the only go kart is the kind very low to the ground with slick tires. This kart went everyplace our quads went. It did not have any problems. We rode the whole 17 mile door loop. Maybe you should call the Forrest Rangers if your karts are like ours is. Good luck.

Hey Samantha... my parents just moved to Indy and I was wondering if there were any riding areas around there. I am not even looking for anything big, just some place to play if I visit the folks.
They are on the east side, and I have a friend on the N.E. side, but any where around Indy would work just fine.

Thanks.
