This place is GREAT! Last weekend, we rode from Bishop (4,000') up to Coyote Ridge (around 10,000'). The bikes did great (Rancher and Recon both with FMF MegaMax II pipes and K&N filters) even though they are jetted for sea level. We carried our backpacking gear and spent the night. The scenery was incredible!!!

I did a post on this last year, but thought I would repeat it for those who missed it. There is an "open unless posted closed" policy and there are literally hundreds of miles of roads you can ride. Save the lower elevations for Spring and Fall. They have a web site- http://www.r5.pswfs.gov/inyo/index.htm

I'm not aware of any rentals. Call Bishop Chamber of Commerce. They might have info.
