I am headed to the Boise National Forest this weekend for a few days and would like to hit a couple of trails. Has anyone been up there? What are Idaho's rules for out-of-state ATV's on public roads? I have a WA ORV tag. I will be located in Crouch, ID (a few miles from Lowman, ID) which is about 1/2 between Boise and McCall. Thanks

Shoot Bill Jones an email at the www.idahoatv.org website. I think that Idaho laws for ATV vary by city or county. Legal up here, all I had to do was get a street plate and a mirror. Should be some good riding down that way, I take it you will be near Smith's Ferry... gorgeous this time of year, and I doubt you will get hassled at all for riding the streets... but best to check with the folks at the Idaho ATV site and get their input as they are down in that area.

Have fun, tread lightly
