Northern Wisconsin Trail Help

My wife and I are heading to Northern Wisconsin during the second week in September. I have read some other post and checked out Wisconsin ATV Associations websight and it sounds like the trails near Iron River,Hayward, and Hurley are pretty nice. Could any one confirm this or recommend some other trails and a campground to stay at and ride from? We would prefer more scenic trails and not anything too difficult. One last thing can you ride to any casinos? It would make my wife's day.

redrider528, I've only been to Iron River and had a blast. I know there is some camping but they look down on the "Drive in/Drive out" in a fee based campsite and perfer you to trailer out to trails, or camp at sites with no facilities. We stayed at a cabin area in the town of Iron River called Rustic Roost. It's OK and there are many places you can ride right from the front door, Rustic Roost sits on the two lane highway and across from one of the main trail systems. Up there, you can do 100 miles in the day if you want. I thought the trails were great for families but you can also make them challenging by opening up in area's like a place called Play area 31 or something like that, it's a scramble area with hills and it's fun but nothing to dangerous. Plenty of dealers up there as well but didn't have to use them so don't know if they have items in stock or what. I know one dealer was closed but helped out anyway, good luck and hope your ATV's are ready for the ride. It's dusty when it's dry, alot nicer with a night of rain. September should be great, they've had snow early but had melted when we got there. I'm not sure about the casino's, or how you like to camp, but you shouldn't be dissapointed in the area. Bring your camera.
