Beginner Riding in Western Massachusetts
#1
Of the places to ride in western Mass., does one stand out which is easier for young beginners to learn how to ride? Wide trails, not so rocky, no tough ascents or decents, no river crossings? Since there is no place in CT for the kids to ride, looks like we'll be heading north.
Thanks in advance.

I ride at Pittsfield State Forrest a lot. Or at least come through there on my ride. I have seen people camp out there all the time with there machines. It is a great place to go with the family. You can leave and go riding right from your site. They are pretty good there as well. I have seen some little guys on lt 80's running them around in the field and in a open parking lot as well. So it may be a good place to start and then head into the woods a little. It can be a little rough but at very low speeds it is a breeze. I wouldn't ride the woods right after it rained if you are worried about mud and water. It does get very wet in there
