I'm fairly new to the Nevada scene.
Looking for decent trails and or sand dunes to go play on.

Near Baker Calif. (on I-15) there is Rasor, a BLM open area. Search the term Rasor and you'll find a post I wrote about it a couple weeks ago. Also, north of Baker is Dumont Dunes. The dunes are HUGE, but the riding area is a bit on the small side.

I have a question for you Nevada riders. What is there around Pharump (spelling?). A lot of desert races are staged in this area. Would it be worth a 4 hr drive?

I did some research up in that area, There are some Mt trails and some lakebeds to play on. There is a bowl on the one trail that has a sand base thats fun to slide on. Some smaller jumps. I also heard there is a mx track there thats pretty decent. I have not been on it yet.

Me and a few other guys I met in Nevada are going to have a website that is based for riding areas just in nevada. With pics, maps, gps coordinates items of interest along the trails. And real distances from us being on location. As well as I want to post all the actual mx tracks in the area.

With the goal down the line to actually have some sorta poker run or organized events. As wells as to organize some clean ups from people messing up the area. Gotta protect our riding areas.

If anybody wants to contribute or Help in the website or in the organization, all offers are welcome.

 

There is an ATV club in Vegas, but I can't remember their name. I think they have a web site??? Ask around and maybe you can connect with them.

 

theres alot happening here in nv.. get a hold of dans atv there in the book and ask about a poker run this next weekend in jean nv.. 11-03-01 hell no whats up .. yz guy did you ever get my message thanking you of the nice trip we took last month up to lake arrowhead if not thank you. i went from the pinicales to cold creek or something like that anyway it took about three hours on the single track and about 30min. on the way back along the outside fire road 34nc what ever. i still need to get the nice maps for next years ride....
