GENE - I would be interested in going but I have no front end on my f.w. right now. I got stuck real bad last weekend at 33 and ripped the front bumper off so I have no front protection. The new one will be here next week so maybe next saturday. Let me know if your going then

Hey guys, new to the forum. I live in sarasota, and am highly considering buying a new prairie650. Has anyone else with 4x4 quads ridden at Croom in brooksville? It seems they have listed on their rules, no atvs over 500lbs or 500cc? Seems like a great spot. Once I get my prairie I'd love to hook up with some of you guys and get it broken in!!

I've never been there but I know that they do allow quads over 500cc. Some buddies of mine that their prairies there and there are also lots of 660 raptors there. You will love the Prairie... I see Deisel Freak... you must love torque! You will love the prairie then!!!

Cotts thanks for the info. Sounds like croom is a cool place to ride. I'm really excited for a prairie650, saving cash for one(don't like payments), although this is a hard time of year to do so. Oh well, i'll have one within a month or two, otherwise it will eat away at me to the point I might go crazy!

Yes admitted diesel freak. I love the blend of power, durability, and economy. I drive an '02 VW jetta diesel 1000 miles a week for my sales rep job, random errands, and towing my jetski. That thing gets avg 750miles per 14.5 gallon tank, you do the math :-) What a great car, and makes much more torque than the gas jetta alternatives. It sure runs a lot better since it's been chipped. I aslo have a MB E300 turbodiesel that I drive at night or on weekends as well....185hp 243lbs of torque, 36mpg, smooth as butter =]

I first and foremost got so excited wanting to check out the polaris diesel sportsman, but every single review said it sucked so badly for anything but utility work, and said it was extremely loud, and tops out about 30mph. Just don't think I can go there, despite my love of diesel.

Prairie650 baby!!! =)

A buddy of mine has the Poalris deisel, nice quad... but slow! Pull your house down though! He has it lifted and on agricultural tires. Fun in the mud and pulling people out!

Hey Lightman, its me from atvflorida.com. My bro has a Diesel Mercedes that has 230,000 miles on it. They do last a loooong time and are very reliable. Have you gone to Croom yet?

Mrbones, I'm dying to check out croom, but am still at the moment quadless. I will most likely pick up my new quad in the next few weeks, so croom will be visited shortly, as well as big cypress.

Hay yall im a florida atv rider too and you guys should come up to the ocala national forest, there is a lot of mud up here, but mostly sand.....ive been to croom, its a nice place mostly for sport quads but there a lot of cool places for 4x4's with tight trails, mud, and HUGE hilll climbs(well for florida),it is 20 dollars for a 6 month pass and its well worth it...

Do you have any good pictures of riding at Ocala? I've never been there and need more info for my atvflorida.com site.

Thanks!
