Just wondering if any of you knew much about it? On there site it mostly looked like open trails. Are there many hill climbs, jumps, mud ect.?? Will it be worth my drive? I live about 60 miles west of Evansville Ind. Also does anyone know of any other places to ride in So. Illinois or surrounding area?
Thanks ,Trae.......

Wayne National Forest... 100k acres between athens and ironton (or so I've been told)...
I know this.. at WNF Athens, from the front side of dorr run loop to that very end of Newstraightsville, is 25 miles EACH way via trail. It's a nice 50 mile round trip journey! We try to do that at least once a weekend..
If you want to look it up on a map it's between nelsonville and logan ohio. Here is the web site wayne web site

Hey B.B.----IMO Big Rock beats a Sunday of "sofa " riding! LOL I go there 1 or 2 times a winter, when I can't drive to Hatfield/McCoy area.
Who is the poor soul in your pix that cut the he!! out 'o himself? How/Where in WNF did he do this?
We'll be at Camp Ohio April 19&20th. Well, I SHOULD be. They are having some kind of ride at H/M that w.e., too. It starts out of Gilbert. Gilbert is the NEWEST atv friendly town in that area!

$17 for a sunday ride is still too steep.. I guess I'm just bitter he raised his prices that high.. I refuse to go but I'm hard headed..
The cut up guy is Roy, funny part is that was his first trip with our group and his first trip to Wayne. We started wondering about him, but he's actaully a pretty good rider, he just had one little mistake! OPPS..
He did a over the bars type of crash going down a big hill back behind the coal pits (at least what we call it). It's not a designated trail, he found that out the hard way! LOL.. nothing 17 stitches and some percocet couldn't fix.
I'm going to miss opening weekend (4/19 to 4/21) this year. I'll be in moab or driving home from moab that weekend, but after 14 days out west riding, I don't think I'll overly mind missing open weekend. I'm leaving April 5th, and we plan on going to Kermit Texas, Glamis, Cinders Az, Coral Pink Utah, Little Sahara Utah, and then Moab Utah. 3 guys, 1 durango, 4 quads, a 16x8 enclosed trailer, 5 different riding areas, and 5000 miles, it should be interesting to say the least!
I plan on taking lots of pictures...

B.B.--- Have a great time out west.......I am jealous!!!!!!!!! Don't think the old Foreman would be a very good dune blaster!
I think that area you call the coal pits is over the ridge from Snake Hollow/Monday Creek "pop-shack". I am pretty sure that I know which place you are speaking of. The Sport Bikes like to play in there. It is a slag pile from mining ops. nearby.
Have a good trip. Later,
Mike
