PSEHunter:
I live here in West Virginia and have ridden the Hatfield and McCoy trail to many times to count. I have ridden all over the country and have found this to be the best for the type of riding I enjoy. You can go to the offical website for Hatfield & McCoy trail system at
www.trailsheaven.com
There are three different trail systems (Logan, Man and Williamson, WV) each containing several hundred miles of well marked trails. The trails are divided into three skill levels. The green trails are for begginners, blue for intermediate riders and black for advance riders.
I prefer the Browning Fork Trail (Rockhouse Trailhead) located in Man, WV (State Route 10 & 80). It has good combination of all three skill levels for ATV's. The outer perimeter loop trail gives some of the best view from the top of the mountains along with an exit halfway through the trail to stop in the town of Gilbert to eat lunch and re-fuel your bike. The town allows riding of ATV's on the city streets and welcomes the trail riders in all the restaurants.
I hope this helps.

Add to your list of "ATV friendly towns" both, Matewan and Man. I didn't realize that Gilbert was open to ATV traffic yet. Thought that happened this spring.
IMO the H/M website isn't very good, EXCEPT for the message board. It has been my experience that the H/M people never email you back with answers to questions you may have. They wiil , however, get RIGHT BACK to you if you inquire about their H/M memorabilia that is for sale!

For some reason trx 450, that does'nt surprise me. I think right now they are just understaffed. But then again that just seems to be another way of just saving money because I have worked at the same place all my life and that has always been an excuse. Anyways, psehunter, here is my website address. There is a lot of pictures from the area. some are HM and others are non-hm. Hope it helps to give you some kind of idea.
