Mudmachine, you wrote:

Spare? Spare what?

Watch it man, or you're gonna need a spare girlfriend!

(Hey, treat her to the buffet at the Isle of Capri, give her about $ 50 worth of quarters for the slots, and you can then write your own ticket!)

Have fun.

Tree,
I thought everybody already had one of two of those.... hahaha...
No, last years Karnack run would have been a complete bust for me had it not been for the spare machine I brought along... The new Yamaha I was riding shelled the engine about 20 minutes off the trailer.... Towed it back.. hopped on the Scambler and had a great weekend.!!!

I wish 50 would do it for her.. its more like $250.00 and MAYBE she wont spend it all.... lolol...

I'll be there. Here is my name. For yall who don't already know, I'll probaly be wearing camo chest waders & jacket, and a red helmet.

We'll definitely be there. I should have the engine back in my wife's Foreman tonight. (Had to split the case to replace a bent output shaft after snapping the rear u-joint....that was fun!) Anyway, I'll try to make it up to the barn around 10:30 if I'm not already stuck somewhere. We plan to start riding when the sun comes up. I didn't realize until today that you couldn't ride there at night. That kind of sucks, I'm used to riding every weekend until 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning here in Houston. Oh well, I'm sure it will still be a blast. Should we all make signs for our bikes with our usernames, ha ha ha!

Yama...
Sounds like you had fun with the shaft replacement....
Anyway, YEah.. you can ride at night... We did last year... A mudrun just isnt any fun without a night ride....
I think they ask that you keep the riding to a minimum on Friday night... (Or atleast they did at the River Rat Run...)
I think that one year at one of the big runs... some people took out on Friday night when they got there, lost the bearings, and ended up staying in the woods, out of gas, and cold all night long....lololol... ROOKIES!!!...
I'm gonna stop at my deer lease (not far from this one) for supper then head onin late Friday night/early Saturday morning... I will be there before sun-up on Saturday...
See all of ya there..... Ya know.. that sign thing is a good idea...hahahaha... But which one do I put it on? Scrambler, Magnum, or 300EX( if I get that one running)

Mudmachine,

Well I'm glad to hear that we might be able to ride at night. A buddy of mine called the number on the flyer and they said the gates opened at 3:00 on Friday, but only to campers. Are you all camping? We got a hotel room at Best Western, but lots of our friends are bringing RV's etc. We just wanted a hotel room to take a shower, etc. Any idea how big this place is, I have never been before, but lots of our friends have. Is the mud real soupy or is there a lot of water too to help you float? Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter I'm going to try it anyway

Yeah, that shaft was fun, but the engine is back in the Foreman and it runs and shifts (we were kind of worried about the electric shift working properly). I think I'm in good shape now, just have to put the plastic back on it and adjust the valves.

Last year, we weren't really supposed to ride at night, but they let us until about 1 am if I remember right. Could have been a different ride though... I just remember getting there around 12:30, unloading, and it was about 1 am when we got the gate and they said they were closing down for the night....

We are leaving here around 12 noon tomorrow. Should get there around 8-9pm. Loooong drive... See yall there.
