Wilborn's Extreme Outdoor ATV Trails off County Road 522 in Hanceville, AL is pretty good. They are closing the 30th of this month though.

We enjoy Bankhead as well. We are planning to go Monday if weather is ok. Have you tried the Kentuck trails at Talladega state park ? Similar to Bankhead but more trails.

I live in Birmingham also and looking for some good atv trails

so far I have found 2 real good ones here locally

1st right off 78 hwy in Irondale by the Cahaba River,we ride from their to Moody on Friday nights, to many hunters in the woods during the daytime plus USX owns some of the property

2nd is off the Deerfoot exit in Trussvile, it has the main channel of the Cahba River running through it also .

Both of these trails have a mix of steep hills, rocks, water , mud and high speed areas

Let me know when yall are going

BTW where is Bankhead ?

Well it's in Southern Lawrence county. About hour &15 minutes SW of Huntsville. Probably about an 1-1/2 to an hour & 45 minutes from B'ham. I only live about 5 miles from the trail- head. Went over Saturday and rode with a friend of mine from work, and man was it muddy. That's probably the worst I've seen it. I can imagine that it was awful Monday considering that it rain cats & dawgs most of the day Sunday. I'm sure it was plenty of fun.

We rode Bankhead on Monday and it was very muddy, lots of folks, and cold. But we had lots of fun. No time to wash atvs yet they are completely covered in mud. Only had our atvs since October so we havent had a chance to ride at Wilborn, but its only about 30 min fron us so Im going to give it a try as soon as they reopen next month I think after deer season is over.
