I wouldn't mind the drive. Looks like alot of trucks and jeep types, are there plenty of riding trails for atv's ?

There are a lot of trails to ride for the small size of the area. Just a little over 500 acers.
There is a place just above Waterloo,AL, just across the state line in TN the we ride a lot. Stay off the TVA land and you will be ok.
If you want a weekend getaway ride then WindRock is the place to go In TN. No other place like it in the South.

Here is a question for those who ride Bankhead. Since it is a national forest, do they allow 2 strokes to ride there? My friends live close to there, and I used to see a ton of dirt bikes and Banshees headed that way. Since I have a banshee this, I would like to know before I haul mine there. I am sure that Wilborns won't be a problem, if it is please let me know. I looked on the national forestry website but couldn't ever find out anything on there. I even looked before I bought the quad. If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I live 4 miles from the trail-head and yes I do think they let 2-strokes ride the trails. Everytime I've been over there, I've seen several 2 stroke bikes and ATV's on the trail. I don't think it would be a problem. May want to give the forest service a call just to be sure. I'll try and find their number if you don't have it.

My parents live in Cullman and me and a couple of folks thought about trying out Wilborn's. Will they be open to the public the 1st weekend in March? There will be three or maybe even four of us there, if everything works out as planned!

They should be. The are opening up this weekend, the 3rd. They used to close it down for turkey season, but I've heard that they are staying open all year until the 15th of October.
