Wake up Minnesota! Wake up USA! Today the Minnesota DNR under pressure from whacko environmentalists closed 5 forests to ATV use to save “Mother Earth” because of “wet conditions” in the forests.
We may have lost this battle – But it’s time to win the war! The MRR (Minnesotans for Responsible Recreation! (read *****)) has the ATV leadership here in Minnesota on the run. We have let a handful of tree huggers and Mother Earth lovers push our recreation into there “comprehensive plan” for elimination. We stood by while our ATV access to trails were restricted because we disturbed the dirt. We watched as the ATV leadership lost our ability to cross country travel in the forests because of a few who did so much damage. There are 30,000 ATV’s registered in Minnesota - Where are the men of courage and backbone and honor? Where are you? Stand up! Be counted! When they come for you – who will you call out for? The MRR has set its sights first on the ATV’s, next it will be snowmobiles for creating “noise”, and next outboard motors because they are “smoky” and then motorcycles because they are scary and dangerous.
The MRR is not about the environment – its all about power, and money and "You can work from home mothers" creating their own jobs! They will form in your state, in your backyards and in your riding areas! They will make full time jobs for themselves taking away your privileges and your rights! They can work from home, from their kitchens – extracting tens of thousands of corporate dollars from companies without the backbone to stand up to the name calling liberals! It has only taken a few knocking at the doors of donation - extorting handouts in the name of their god “Mother Earth”! These people will build their war chest of funding, they will extort the corporations in the name of nature and protecting the children and of all manor of false pretense and they will be coming after your trails, and your ATV.
Wake up! Get involved! There are 22,345 members in the ATV connection! Yo! Take heed my friends, for the evil is on your doorstep!
We need to organize! We need a voice of 22,345 saying NO! to the personal agendas of such a few people! We need a National Organization and effective leadership to repel these advances on our sport wherever they rear their ugly heads! We need commitment, and courage and a few good men to stop the MRR and its sister organizations forming in every state. It is no longer a game of words! The battle has begun! We are at war to protect our recreation from the euphorian environmentalists that want your motorcycles, your boats, your SUV’s, your snowmobiles and your ATV’s!
Wake up! They come for you!

I know it sounded bad, but read the whole thing,and look at it from the DNR side,they are just temporarily closing the trails,the recent snow melt and the rain have made the dirt very 'greasy' on top,very easy to put huge deep ruts in,the land around my farm is a mess,I don't think the frost is all the way out,so all the moisture is trapped on top,making the soil very loose.I think what they are trying to do is not give the enviro-***** more fuel by letting us in too early,and making a big mess,that would give the tree humpers more "evidence" of our 'destruction'of nature.I'm chomping at the bit to ride,too, but it is wet,so,let's not all fly off the handle and dig a hole we can't climb out of,let the lunatics rave for now,we can show them we are mature enough to wait for dryer conditions.

I am on it, and been on it every day since the articles were in the Trib. I have sent letters and e-mails to every senator and legislator that I could and the Gov.
I Just read that the DNR is stopping the issue of burning permits in 25 counties in northern Minnesota, and at the same time closing trails because its supposedly too wet? What is that all about?
