Moving there in 2 mos, doesn't look like many places to ride. Hate to put the quads in long term storage, any place to ride thats close???? What about the CA laws on exhaust and registering? Thanks for the help.

Gorman is only about 1 hour north up I-5.In Ca you need a spark arrester and depending on the bike's emissions a green or red sticker.
All pre 97 bikes get a green, all 2-strokes and some 4-strokes after 97 get a red sticker, the rest of the 4-strokes get a green......green is good for year round use.

By Gorman, he means Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area. There are also areas in the Los Padres National Forest (including some single track dirt bike only trails). Search SVRA and you will come up with something. There is certainly a lot of riding within a couple of hours drive, but locally in VC is not an area I am familiar with. Try checking at the local shops for riding advice. Locally, look for fire and power line roads in the hills. You might be able to sneak in.
