Omaha and Council Bluffs Riders
#1
Any riders from the Omaha, Council Bluffs area? We are looking for other riders in the area. Wondering where everyone rides at around here. We have ridden the ATV park in CB many times. We do some riding out in the country in Washington County between Omaha and Blair. Way back when I was younger I knew of some places around Omaha that you could ride without getting ran out or arrested. If anyone has any riding areas around the area that they would like to share, I am all ears!!!

How do I put this politely?? Nebraska is the most backward state which lacks in every way! ATVs are illegal in Nebraska. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to become informed..... There is only one actuall legal riding place in this state that I know of for sure. The nice thing about this place is that you apparently have to be a member of NOHVA to ride there and it is at least two hours from Omaha I believe. You can not register ATVS in Nebraska, but yet you can license a snowmobile??? No trails for either in our entire state? Last time I checked Iowa recieved more snowfall than Nebraska.
The funny thing is that when we go to the courthouse in Council Bluffs to register our quads in Iowa, we are told that they have more ATVS registered in their county from Nebraska than from those whom reside in Iowa. Nebraskan's registraion dollars are going to build ATV parks like the one in Council Bluffs!!!
We do occassionaly ride out in the country, but some people get very irate about crossing their land. Mostly we ride down at the park in CB. We are supposed to be going to Timber Ridge tommorow with a friend...supposed to be close to Onawa. Again though you must be a member of this place. We have yet to ride their oursleves and have heard very mixed comments on the area??
You know of any good riding farther south towards us?

I dont know of any other riding places. But We've been riding the smaller river type places lately and been injoying ourselves quite a bit.
We actually came across a few trails in the trees after going about 20 miles down river from where we started. Then took the ditches back, was lot of fun.
