Everything is up in the air right now. I know the crossing over the tracks has been taken out and there are 2 different campground/parking areas that you have to pay to park at. One of the locals, who has caused a lot of the problems with the "staging area" as it is known, owns (owned) one of the campgrounds and was murdered about a month ago. His nickname was Hillbilly, real name was Craig Roberts.

Sorry Alan, I've haven't been on much lately.

What CBUS said is true. I was riding last weekend and never seen or heard, of any kind of trouble. You gotta find another place to park, if you don't wanna pay at one of the campgrounds. Now, some attempt to drive over the tracks, which is dangerous if you get your vehicle hung up on the tracks. Not to mention, if the railroad catches you, big fine! Some fellows parked under the tressel and drove their bikes in.

We took the chance and drove the 99 miles sat. the 28th, and it was well worth it. We parked at the sportsman club and payed the $8 each to ride and had a great time and didn't have to worry about having the truck towed or fined when we came back. We did ride down to the old parking area and saw only 2 trucks that drove over the tracks, one guy told us later that him and his buddy had to help the guy get his truck back over the tracks. Things look alot diffrent down there. The sportman club has done alot of work and made some nice trails. We are going to try to make it down there one more time before winter. Thanks for the info. and let us know if anything changes. Later, Alan
