where have you gone then?
trailriding areas i know are open to quads right now: tahuya, reiter, walker valley, evans creek,(i'm sure there's others). during summer months: capitol forest. national forests are somewhat picky, naches has some trails for quads but not many, same goes for manashtash, taneaum, teanaway and others.
i don't know of any around mt st helens.. but i may be wrong.

Ive been to Capitol Forest, Reiter, Taneum area (most atv trails were still snow covered), Naches, Beverly Dunes.

Id like to be able to find some places to explore for some weekend trips with the camper and quads.

Are you familiar with the discovery trail in Oregon, which runs from Cali to Wash?

Thanks for the reply

Well, try Tahuya ORV park. It's across the sound just outside of Belfair (Bremerton). The trails there are great for quads. Then there is Jones Creek outside of Vancouver, and Tillamook State Forest in Oregon (which has campsites available). There's three places to try out. Tahuya is your best bet since it's the closest to you.

Bing--

I ran the Discovery Trail two summers ago....It was pretty cool. Definately need a chase vehicle and there are really only a couple months you can run the whole stretch (elevation gets to 8000' in some spots). There are several spots you need to get on the road, some I just ran on the quad, but others are too long to do that. You could probably start at the north end of the trail and go south, but that would be a long drive back. Most start at the south (near Lakeview, OR) and go north.

That XR sounds like the way to go. I plan to tackle that sucker in the spring.

I think we will try out Tahuya this weekend.

thanks again

I am also in need to go to the dunes!!! if anyone goes, let me know i will meet you there....never been to the dunes, only had my quad since august. i have a honda 400 ex

It's not the cascades, but I am heading North to Gold Bar this weekend. Evan's Creek is ...how should I put it....interesting. Dangerous is more like it. If you want to put your skills to the test Evans is the place
