Any riders in Northern California???
Well... anytime is a good time to ride there.. Pismo is awesome riding pretty much year round. The temperature is maybe around 60ish (which is a little cool just sitting around, but when you're riding, it's perfect!). The dunes are awesome and always changing!! As for Carnegie and Hollister, you will get rain during the winter... but if you don't mind a little mud, go for it!!
As for Rick, he was my fiance that was recently killed in a motorcyle accident. He loved riding street bikes and dirt bikes and was the one that introduced me to the sport! I plan on continuing to ride as I know that's what he'd want me to do... so that's just my way of remembering him...

Hey QuadKaryn,
I just joined, but wanted to reply with some good riding places that I like.
If you take 580 to I5, and take the Patterson exit (not the patterson pass exit in Tracy, but the Patterson exit). Turn left at the stop sign, and go 17 miles out. There is a cool ohv (Frank Reins) park.
Up highway 88 past Jackson, about an hours before Tahoe, there is a place called Bear River. There are alot of pretty pretty riding trails up there.
We just found area's up highway 108. Right out of Long Barn, there is a camping area called Hull Creek, and there are so many miles to ride.
We have never ridden at Hollister or Pismo, but someday I want to. I dont like Carnegie to much, there are way to many people. It is like a sucide mission.

Quadkaryn- Sorry to hear about your loss. Its awesome to see you continue his legacy, I'm sure he's damn proud!!!
Quick question, how far is Pismo from Susansville, California? I have family in that area, and plan to visit in the near future, just wondering if I should bring along the quad. Any info appreciated!

Diablo...hope you like drving: 540+ miles. Susanville is up by Reno, and Pismo is on the central coast.
I'll also throw up another nod to Hollister. It's my favorite place so far.
1. Hollister
2. Pismo
3. Hungry Valley
4. Miami Trails (it's just so damn rough)
I live in central CA so I pretty much have to drive to ride.

Dublin is around the intersection of I-580 and I-680. East Bay. Between Oakland and Livermore.

I ride with the So. Calif. group. Don't know anything specifically about the Northern Calif group though.
It is mostly dirt bikes, but there are more quads all the time. I love chasing dirt bikes around the desert. They are way faster than quads, so you really get to test your skills!! They have family rides too.
