Default Western Washington riders...

OK, this weekend went in the toilet real quick (family stuff) and I will not be able to make Tahuya this Sun. So, with only a few good weekends before it gets real cold lets use this thread to get something together for next weekend or whenever you guys can make it. If you live in western Washington and want to attend I'm sure you're welcome, never too many quads. So we're shooting for the 20th, come up with some ideas and post them here. Tahuya, Evans creek, Lake Limerick.. what ever. I'm up for anything next weekend! Today I will be toiling away with the family, hope you guys had fun!

Give this post an "up" if it needs it...

the 19th i can go, but i want to go east... i can ride saturday and sunday until noon (gotta get back for work.)
i've widened my quad 4" so it doesn't like tight stuff... but i love what it does for me at high speeds... on the dunes, track, desert, etc...

beverly is only about 2-2.5 hours drive... just south of vantage, great for a day trip.
horn rapids, by richland, is about 3 hours
moses lake is about 3-3.5 hours

look into the thread about the scramble at horn rapids ORV in the racing section if you haven't yet... its a great race for anyone new to the sport that wants to try a race... not technical at all

my choice is made...
i'm going to horn rapids, it's the last open weekend before the race on 11/3 and i need to get out there for practice & tuning. see the schedule for horn rapids
it says they close the track the day before a race, the 27th there's a race, and park hours are 8-5 on the weekend... there is no day use fee

here's an idea- what about riding richland (horn rapids) saturday and beverly sunday?

Dual Sporter: maybe.. that's a good drive for a day ride.. I'm not sure I can stay out until Sun. I have a sick horse right now..

p.s. I work in Issaquah so is it 3hrs from there?

the fast way to horn rapids, is to go I-90 to vantage, head south on hwy 243 then hwy 240 toward richland... depending on how hard you drive, from issaquah its about 3 hours.

directions taken from northwestdirtrider.com:
The City of Richland Horn Rapids Off-Road Vehicle Park is located 3.5 miles west of Richland at the intersection of Twin Bridges Road and SR 240
