Default Central Illinois Riding

Has anyone ever been riding at SouthFork Dirt Riders near Taylorville? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

there are a bunch of us going to fox valley off road on sunday the 27th. about 6 or 7 of us.
http://www.megacross.com/ hit the fox valley off road link and it will give you info and directions if you are interested in meeting up with us. i have never been to the south fork so i cant give you any info on that.

If it's the same place I'm thinging of it's a little south of Springfield. I've never rode there but I went to see what kind of place it was, looks like it's not to bad of a place to ride. Probably go up there sometime early next year.

rode there once this past summer , i'd rather go to the badlands even though its another hour drive.

We've ridden there several times since it opened, but not recently. They have an excellent track set up, and hold AMA sanctioned events there, if I remember correctly. There are quite a few trails to play on, but nothing real extreme. It's alright, but they only have 320 acres total, and quite a bit of that is taken up with parking areas, and the track. They now have public bathrooms, a concession stand, and I think even showers. Cost is $10.00 for daily riders, and is open Thurs. thru Sun. You will also need the Illinois Public Access sticker to ride there since they are partially funded by the Illinois ORV Trail Fund.
